Sony’s Xperia XA1 series of smartphones come with a feature of “Good night actions”, through which the users can diminish blue light of the display. However, Sony has now affirmed that the functionality will be deprived off in the Oreo update. This confirmation has come in the form of an answer to a user inquiry on the Twitter. Moreover, the company has also said that there are currently no intentions to add such a feature to other Sony Xperia smartphones.

Now the feature in question is currently only restricted to the Xperia XA1 series, however, the preceding affirmation means that none of the company’s mobile phones will have the blue light seep through functionality after the Oreo update. Sony had introduced a “Night Light” mode in its concept builds sometimes ago, but it never carried that feature into its stable software. Now the company is suggesting users to go for a 3rd-party night mode apps.
