Google Pixel 10 Pro

Google has officially dropped its 2025 flagship, and it’s a powerhouse. The Pixel 10 Pro isn’t just an incremental update; it’s a statement, blending cutting-edge AI, robust hardware, and thoughtful software in a sleek package. Let’s unpack what makes this phone special.

First Impressions: A Premium, Durable Work of Art

Right out of the box, the Pixel 10 Pro feels premium. Its dimensions (152.8 x 72 x 8.5 mm) make it surprisingly manageable for a pro device. The 207-gram weight gives it a solid, quality feel without being a brick. The front and back are protected by the tough Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, framed by sleek aluminum. And yes, it has that crucial IP68 rating, meaning it can survive a dunk in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes perfect for peace of mind.

Display: Quite Literally, Brilliant

The 6.3-inch LTPO OLED screen is a showstopper. With a super-sharp 1280 x 2856 resolution, everything looks crisp. But the real magic is in the brightness: a jaw-dropping 3300 nits at peak. This means you’ll have zero trouble reading under direct sunlight. The smooth 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling buttery, and HDR10+ support ensures movies and games are vibrant and dynamic. It’s protected by the same Victus 2 glass, which Google claims has a scratch resistance up to Mohs level 4 (think keys and coins).

The Brain: Google Tensor G5 & Software Promise

At its core lies the new Google Tensor G5 chip, built on an efficient 3-nanometer process. The octa-core setup is designed for heavy AI tasks and seamless performance. The real winner is the software commitment: it runs Android 16 out of the box with a promise of up to 7 major Android upgrades. That’s unprecedented support, ensuring this phone stays fresh and secure for years.

You can choose from 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, or a massive 1TB of storage, all paired with a generous 16GB of RAM for effortless multitasking.

Camera System: AI-Powered Photography Redefined

The camera is where Pixels traditionally shine, and the 10 Pro takes it further.

  • Main Camera (50MP): The wide-angle sensor with large pixels and OIS captures stunning detail in any light.

  • Periscope Telephoto (48MP): Offers a true 5x optical zoom for getting close to the action without losing quality.

  • Ultrawide (48MP): With a 123-degree field of view, it’s perfect for landscapes and group shots.

Google’s software magic enhances it all with features like “Best Take” (fixes group photos), “Zoom Enhance” for clearer digital zoom, and “Pixel Shift” for ultra-high-resolution shots. A unique feature is cloud-based 8K@30fps video upscaling, pushing video processing to the cloud for incredible detail.

The 42MP ultrawide selfie camera ensures your video calls and selfies are top-notch.

Battery & Charging: All-Day Power and Modern Charging

The 4870 mAh battery is sizable. In tests, it delivered over 12 hours of active use and a total endurance rating of over 51 hours on a single charge. It supports 30W wired charging (reaching 55% in 30 mins) and modern 15W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. Helpful features like bypass charging (powering the phone directly during gaming to reduce heat) and reverse wired charging add to the convenience.

Extras & Sustainability

  • Under-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor: Fast and reliable.

  • Satellite SOS Service: For emergencies when off the grid.

  • UWB Support: For precise device finding and digital car keys.

  • EU Label Highlights: It scores an Energy Class A rating and a battery rated for 1000 full cycles (exceeding the new EU regulations), along with a Class A free-fall resistance. Its Class B repairability score indicates it’s more repairable than many flagships.
