Based on the recent reports, it has been known that Samsung has started working on updating the new Android 8.0 Oreo on its flagship Galaxy S8. This update will carry the firmware version of G955FXXU1BQI1 and G950FXXU1BQI1 for Galaxy S8 and S8+ respectively.

We have still not heard any information about when the Oreo will be updated in smartphones. It has however been reported that Samsung has kicked off the beta testing program before rolling out Oreo update to both the devices. However, the company is afraid not to implement all the Oreo features in this update.

Lately, OnePlus has also started sending push notifications to the OnePlus 3 users to update on Oreo. Other companies aiming to offer Oreo update include HMD Global (Nokia), Sony, HTC and Huawei.
