According to the sources, HMD Global has officially committed that all of the currently available Nokia smartphones will get the update of next-to-Android-Oreo, which is supposed to be released next year. Even Nokia 3, which sits in the lowest ebb of Nokia smartphones released this year, will first get the Android Oreo update by the end of this year, and then will also be upgraded to the next-in-line Android OS releasing next year.

The main reason behind this move by HMD could definitely be related to seeking the attention of people around the world and hence making commitment to the people that they will be allowed to use the update Android OS even when they buy any Nokia smartphone now.

This announcement was made by HMD today while it was launching its flagship Nokia 8 in Philippines. In this regard, it can also be said that the company will also release all the remaining Nokia smartphones by the time the Android P is released next year. Certainly, this is a good strategy by HMD Global to revive the lost image and reputation of Nokia!
