Face ID parts which Apple is making are under production problems and that might be the core reason why iPhone X is late. The feature of Face ID has become an identification for iPhone X, the source of unlocking the iPhone X device by scanning.

Front facing 3D sensors are in production and it has been reported that production is running difficulties. This part has slowed down the production process of the phone as a whole. This could limit the number of orders Apple is planning or delay of first consignment.

However, Apple announced iPhone X along with iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus but the new device, iPhone X won’t go up for sale till 3^rd November.

It has also been reported that Apple iPhone X would move out in small quantities like tens of thousands a day rather than hundreds of thousands a day.
