Ming Chi Kuo is a tech analyst who said that the iPhone X is the most expensive device Apple has ever made so this fact would generate more demand than supply chain can hold in the start.
Two of the core features would be the driving factors for users to replace their devices for iPhone X. Full screen display and facial recognition are the two features which are the USPs of this new iPhone X.
Kuo further explained that the supply constraints won’t let the company to fulfill the demand till 2018. However he anticipated that Apple would ship 40 million iPhone X handsets by the end of this year and more than double i.e. 90 million by 2018.
It is also being expected that the sale of iPhone X has been pushed to late October and early November in order to give iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus sales some space.
