The Android One, though have the lowest price charged so far as total Android package is concerned, has to step down further in terms of prices to make an impact on rest of the smartphone industry. According to RajanAnandan, the South East Asia managing director of Google, the project ‘”did not deliver according to expectations”.

That’s why the next Android One phone will lie between the $30-50 sweet spot. No News on this has been revealed yet nor has any confirmation been made by company on the prices or where it will drop first.
This also bring the other ventures of the company in line such as Project Loon tobring all of Sri Lanka Online. This encompasses introducing offline services such as maps and YouTube due to poor internet connection in the majority of the region.
Initially, the Android One project was to provide its partners with a list of pre-existing specifications in order to give the users a satisfying experience.Later in September 2014, the venture was extended to around 10 developing markets. With local brands providing the same phones at cheaper prices, Google has to re-considers its strategy. Android One was launched in Pakistan in Collaboration with QMobile.
