Currently Zong is being harassed by a group of people who are distributing leaflets. Apparently, they want to rent plots using China mobile name. According to the reports, some fraud people are using the name “A CHINA COMPANY/ZONG CHINA MOBILE COMPANY” for the installation of telecommunication towers.

Zong warns through Public Notice to discontinue use of its Name wrongly

A group of fraudulent people are asking for a 5Marla plot for installing communication towers. They are also giving rent in advance and cash to make people believe it is a real deal.

Zong has now issued a public Notice that they have no connection with such activities. It is a fraud. The notice is published by Shaikh Waqar Ahmed, Company Secretary China Mobile Pakistan Limited on behalf of the company. Here is the full text of the Notice.

“Notice is hereby given to the public at large that some persons with the name and style of “A CHINA TOWER COMPANY” and / or “ZONG CHINA MOBILE COMPANY”, etc. are distributing leaflets giving, inter alia, the impression that ZONG needs five (5) Marlas land in different areas for installation of its telecommunication towers. They are also offering advance and per month rent for that land. Certain telephone numbers are given in the said leaflets for contact. The undersigned hereby notifies for and on behalf of China Mobile Pakistan Limited (“CMPak”), official user of trade name ‘ZONG’, and a wholly owned company of China Mobile Communications Corporation of the Peoples Republic of China, having its head office at CMPak Complex, Plot No.47, Kuri Road, National Park Area, ChakShehzad, Islamabad, that CMPak has no relation or concern whatsoever with the aforesaid persons or their companies and none of them has been authorized by CMPak in any manner whatsoever to transact the business mentioned in the said leaflets or any other business and any persons transacting any business with the aforesaid persons or companies shall do so at his own risk and cost.”
