The South Korean tech giant Samsung has the most successful business of mobile display, but that is not adequate for the company. Even though 2018 should be dedicated as a year of “Foldable Smartphone”, it seems that this year Samsung has a few more surprises forus.

Recently, Samsung has filed a patent for a roll-able display that can be triggered by a fingerprint sensor. As contrasted to the LG’s roll-able display that uses a really small rotating motor, Samsung’s roll-able display will having magnets that are placed along the main body which houses the display.

Conferring to the patent, it shows two types of metallic bodies where the roll-able display is dragged by the magnets: square and cylindrical. These both have fingerprint sensors that permit users to unfold the roll-able display with the touch of finger. However, the approach doesn’t show if and howthey can be used in a mobile phone, so yet it’s ambiguous.
