In UK, Amazon has just launched the Top Up service which would let the user to deposit cash into his or her Amazon account by using a barcode scanning method and the barcodes would be of the selective retailers or the ones participating.

In other words, we could say that the Amazon Top Up program is the rebranded version of Amazon Cash but it was launched in US having the same objective. So, we can say, UK has Amazon Top Up and US has Amazon Cash to use the service with similar purpose.

Inside UK, Amazon is working with the PayPoint, a British bill payment service. User gets a barcode via his Amazon mobile app and takes it to the PayPoint where after the scanning it could add £5 to 250. Plus, the given barcode could be used continuously. This service would help do small purchases like gift cards.
