Zong is not happy with the given frequency of 4G Spectrum. Few sources have revealed that Zong has shown serious concerns over this issue as the 1800MHz is having distortion quality-wise.

The Zong authorities has also written a letter to PTA over this issue and asked for an immediate solution. Zong says that the sizeable distortion in the spectrum is consistently impacting customer causing serious quality issues.

Zong Shows Serious Concerns Over Allotted 4G Frequency, Consults PTA.

PTA had auctioned 10MHz of 4G spectrum from the 1800MHz Band to Zong during 2014 spectrum auction. PTA Charged US 210 million dollars license fee to Zong.

This is the same frequency used by DECT 6.0 wireless phones used by home-users causing disruption in the 4G services of Zong.

A Zong Spokesperson has confirmed that they are in talks with PTA where they are either demanding a ban over these specific wireless phones or allot us a frequency that does not match 1800MHz for the smooth running of operation for the customers. The official also said in terms of unfriendly response by PTA, the quality of Zong service may deteriorate.

It is also important to say that some of the 4G spectrum is yet to be auctioned which was not sold last year. Now, it is upon PTA to either change the spectrum or keep on targeting the wireless phone users disrupting this frequency.
