Redmi 5 smartphone has been launched in India, and it will be available through Amazon India and Mi.com. This phone is going to be the smaller variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, which was released in India in February, which is also known in other parts of the world as Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 will have 5.7-inch display featuring 1440 x 720 pixels resolution. And it will be IPS LCD screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. This smartphone will come in two RAM variants of 2GB and 3GB, and it will also have two storage options of 16GB and 32GB. The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 450 SoC.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 will come with 12MP camera on the main and 5MP camera on the front. It will also be powered by 3300mAh battery along with the 10W standard charging. It will be running on Android 7.1 Nougat, on top of which MIUI 9 will be running.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 price in India will be INR 7,999 for 2GB + 16GB variant, while the price of 3GB + 32GB variant will be INR 8,999.
