The recent report published by Trend Force has provided its predictions concerning the global smartphone sales in the world for the year 2018. The main crux of this report is that the smartphone sales will slow down by 2.8% this year in comparison of 2017.

By a fair estimate by the publisher, the manufacturers will be able to sell about 1.498 billion devices this year as compared to 1.458 billion devices sold last year.

The main reason for a relatively lower number of smartphones sales is ascribed to the continuous rise of costs as well as lesser replacement purchases.
