Earlier this year Google rolled out an anti-phishing feature for Gmail on Android after countless users were affected by a massive attack. Now it is rolling out Anti-Phishing Feature to Gmail on iOS version of its Gmail app in order to protect users on Apple phones and tablets.
Whenever you click on a mistrustful link in a Gmail message on iOS device, Gmail will display a prompt warning you of visiting the associated site. The feature is in fact double-layered, so if you opt to proceed after the first dialog, you will see a page warning them against visiting the original URL considering the high likelihood that it’s a sham.

You don’t have to install any updates to make the most of the Anti-Phishing Feature to Gmail on iOS since it will appear in your accounts automatically. If you have not got it so far, you may have to wait since Google says that it may take up to 15 days for all iOS owners to get it.
