Qualcomm Technologies announced Qualcomm Fingerprint Sensors at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2017. It offers ultrasonic fingerprint, a new solution based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Sense ID fingerprint tech which means this new advancement is bringing a range of enhancements.

For instance, sensors for glass & metal display, direction gestures detection and the ability to locate fingerprints under water. The new integrated ultrasonic mobile solution can tell the blood flow and the heartbeat.

Qualcomm Fingerprint scanning is not only the mobile platform solution but can be used as standalone sensors, the Qualcomm Fingerprint Sensors can scan OLED display stacks which could be up to 1200um.
