PTA is raiding the shops selling illegal cordless phones

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is consistently working to uproot illegal sale and use of DECT 6.0 Cordless Phones. Very recently PTA alongside with anti-smuggling squad, custom has conducted eight successful raids in Rawalpindi and Islamabad against the illegal DECT 6.0 phone sellers.

The raid has been conducted in the light of prevailing law. A huge amount illegal cellular phones has been confiscated. The law has been formulated in the light of issues that has been raised with DECT 6.0 and Cordless Phones operating in licensed bands. They disrupt the frequencies of 3G Bands. PTA has asked users and sellers to stop selling these banned cordless otherwise legal action will be taken against them.

Once again PTA strictly warns all importers, distributor, retailers and users to stop selling or using the banned cordless otherwise a legal action will be taken against them.
