The reason Microsoft is preventing the Atom PCs for the update is incompatible drivers. The company declared that they no longer support Atom PCs for the new Windows 10 Creators Update. The spokesperson of Microsoft said that the added hardware support is required in order to provide the best experience to user, so that he or she could update Windows 10 Creators Update. But, Intel support is missing in the systems, which means that drivers’ support isn’t there, and that is why company is unable to move those systems to the latest update.

Instead Microsoft is providing the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to devices of Intel Clover Trail. Microsoft “will provide security updates to these specific devices running the Windows 10 Anniversary Update until January of 2023.”
