LG is Allegedly Working on Two Foldable Smartphones

  MPC Team

The LG’s patent filing, made to the World Intellectual Property Organization, has unveiled two different ideas of the foldable smartphone, which can be revolved into a tablet and vice versa. However, the patent said about the product that it’s a mobile phone with bendable display, which can be folded in half. The first version came into the sight have two handset bodies side by side, with a distinct display that can be folded in the half. So, when the screen is folded, the handset looks like a smartphone and demonstrate an ‘always on’ display with the time, but when it’s unfolded, it resembles a tablet.

The other version of a foldable handset, shown in the LG’s patent filing, looks almost similar in design to the first one. However, the main difference is that when handset is folded, the part of second screen extends, which departs a delicate sidebar. The sidebar is used to show icons, notifications, time, date or other data. Notably, LG has initiallyfiled for a patent on July 2017 and WIPO has released last week the registration information.
