More and More Chinese brands are coming to Pakistan to cater to the ever increasing consumer market of cheap technology. We have recently seen Haier, infinix, Symphony and many others launching at different platforms to capture the greater potential present for buying cheap technology. Undoubtedly, the South Asian regions are the prime target market of these companies where average spending per consumer is below $150 and people tend to buy smartphones that are efficient as well as affordable. The price sensitivity has become a major issue and this where the whole psyche of consumer has been gauged by the OEMs.
Recently Leagoo is another Chinese based OTEDA industrial company that has hit Pakistani market and is aiming to outperform existing brands with similar models covering same price range. Leagoo Lead 1 is handset that is not a flagship offering but holds much potential to sell in the market. The company has designed a low-end to mid-ranged offering that follows design language of somewhat premium sort. However, these are just external. We will learn more about its internals ahead and which is something not get excited about. Apart from a hefty 5.5-inch screen, there is nothing much to talk about in terms on presence. Even the colors are not that sharp.
We can see a very weak device innards wise. The handset runs on Quad Core, 1.3GHz, Cortex-A7, MTK6582 chipset. Form the past reviews, it is evident while competing with same sort, Lead 1 is not an exception, however, it still does not lie in the disappointment zone. The graphics are easily operated via GPU Mali-400MP which is efficient enough to support better crisp in videos and running of games. The memory options are very modest. Inside is the 1GB RAM, which is definitely not enough for multi-tasking plus the storage capacity meeker than the meekest. With 8GB ROM, you can save less to what you have but there is an extension option too.
Despite, weak innards, the Leagoo Lead 1 sport very high-end camera settings. The rear is 13MP which is the industry norm and major brands have stick to this beefy resolution to attract customers. The rear camera features flash light, autofocus and supports live photo, voice capture, face detection and facial recognition with editing. Further it has a strong 5MP camera to capture selfies and handle video chats. Leagoo Lead 1 is driven by 2200mAh juicer.
