Kyocera first washable phone was launched in December 2015. After this, the company did not release its successor in 2016. Lately, there are news developing for its next generation to come which is washable.
The second smartphones does not have prominent specs as compared to the previous but it will have some other unique features that will haunt the audience. According to Kyocera, the handset will be dubbed Rafre and it can be washed through foaming soap. So don’t worry, if you drop this phone in your bathtub.
As far as the specs are concerned, Kyocera Rafre packs a 5-inch display, which has HD (720p) resolution. Further, it has industry leading 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 200GB via microSD card.
At the rear, it has 13MP camera with Kyocera’s proprietary image-processing AINOS Engine, and PDAF, while the front has 5MP selfie shooter.
Most importantly, the phone will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat and it runs on 3,000mAh battery. Kyocera Rafre will sell in Japan via prominent carrier KDDI in Pale Pink, Clear White and Light Blue colors.
