Google has announced it just now that Google Assistant will soon be coming in the smart displays also. The company announced this on a blog post where it confirmed that the manufacturers such as LG, JBL, Sony and Lenovo will be launching the products featuring smart displays by the end of this year.

The user will be able to use the Assistant-powered smart displays for video calling through Google Duo, watching videos from YouTube, exploring photos from Google Photos, and even receiving the suggestions for the best and favorite content available on the web.

The Google Assistant will actually be powered by Android Things on smart displays. Android Things is basically the IoT platform of Google. According to Google, these smart display devices will also be featuring the built-in Cast.

Lastly, Lenovo has already made the announcement for its upcoming smart display, which will be simply known as Lenovo Smart Display. The device is actually powered by Qualcomm Home Hub Platform and will be featuring the touchscreen display involving full HD.
