It was rumored earlier that Huawei is in talks with US carrier AT&T for selling the Mate 10 flagship smartphone in USA. Firmware files were then revealed, which confirmed that the deal has been struck. Moreover, things were turning out to be smooth and steady.
Then, a few days before the New Year’s eve, it was revealed that the launch by AT&T of Huawei Mate 10 has been delayed till February 2018. However, it now appears that this is never gonna happen anyway.
The latest report from Wall Street Journal has now revealed that AT&T is backing off from the deal with Huawei about releasing Huawei Mate 10 for its subscribers in USA. This news has also come out before the tomorrow’s CES press conference by Huawei.
It is still not clear why AT&T has backed out now. Still, Huawei is soon going to introduce Mate 10 Pro for US market anyway. So, the Chinese manufacturer might not be at the wrong end here, as it might appear that AT&T could be the losing party by not introducing the phone for its subscribers. This is also because Mate 10 is the flagship phone of Huawei, and it was likely that the fans would definitely buy it, and hence the business of AT&T could grow.
