Apple sold 18 million watches in 2017 and hence set a new record of selling the most number of watches in a single year. About 45% of these sales were made in 4th quarter of 2017, i.e. 8 million, which is another record of selling the most number of wearables in a single quarter by a single company.

Moreover, of 18 million watches, Apple sold about 9 million Series 3 model watches. Canalys report shows that LTE-enabled Apple Watch Series 3 is the best-selling as well as fastest-selling LTE wearable device currently available in the market, and more than 1.6 million units of the same have been shipped already.

Additionally, there was a rise of 32% sales in Q4 of 2017 as compared to Q4 of 2016. Lastly, on the whole, there was 54% rise in sales of Apple Watches in 2017 as compared to 2016.
