Alcatel has surprised everyone by releasing yet another budget smartphone. Even though Alcatel U5 has only ordinary specifications originally; however, the enhanced and improved version of the smartphone has HD display, which was not added before.

The new version has most of the specs same as in the previous one, such as MediaTek MT6737 chipset, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, but the users will note the difference vis-à-vis display and camera.

Alcatel U5 will have 5-inch HD display with 720 pixel resolution. It will now have 8MP main camera and 5MP selfie camera. In comparison to this, the older version had 5-inch display with only 480×854 pixel resolution, and 5MP main and 2MP selfie camera.

Moreover, the so-called U5 HD will feature 2200mAh battery rather than 2050mAh battery in the earlier version. Users will further have the dual SIM display in this enhanced version of Alcatel U5 HD.
