Alcatel will launch a more modest version of Alcatel 4s dubbed Alcatel Idol 4. While the Idol 4s comes unlocked, the Idol 4 will be exclusively sold via Cricket Wireless starting next month from August 5.
Cricket will offer the handset for $199.99 plus tax, as soon as you activate the smartphone plan. Just like its bigger sibling, the Idol 4 comes bundled with VR goggles, which will allow users to enjoy virtual reality content via Alcatel VR store. Notably, this is the cheapest VR bundle available on earth right now.
Craved out of metal and glass, the Alcatel Idol 4 boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). The Alcatel Idol 4 packs 5.2-inch 1080p display. Camera-wise, it has a 13 MP rear camera, and 8 MP front-facer. The device is powered by 2610mAh battery.
