A competition has been recently organized by PTA known “Pakistan Mobile App Awards 2015” in partnership with Internet Society (ISOC) Asia-Pacific Bureau, cellular mobile operators and handset manufactures. The competition was encouraging young developers and entrepreneurs to build new mobile applications.The award ceremony will be held on 27th April, 2015 at a local hotel in Islamabad. Representatives from the government, industry, academia and media will attend the event.The pre-defined criteria for all submissions include uniqueness, value to public, functionalities, sustainability and quality of the mobile application under agriculture, entertainment, kids, security, community and business categories. With over 100 ideas, Pakistan Mobile App Awards competition proved to be a success, with emerging innovation in Pakistan after start of 3G / 4G services in the country.With increasing 12 million 3G/4G subscribers, a huge market potential for new services and applications is there.
