An Industry report claims that Google is working on version of Android for IoT(internet of things). The OS dubbed Brillo, will be able to run devices with as little as 32MB of RAM, for example sensors and dongles. The current threshold for the Google’s mobile operating system is 512MB.
The report also reveals that Brillo is only focusing connected home devices, a subcategory of IoT. However, it isn’t obvious that how the new project will fit within the framework of Nest (Google’s home automation business). The software is expected to make official next week at the company’s I/O developer conference in San Francisco.
