Xiaomi, the Chinese Company, has been all over the Asian market. It has introduced high spec’d yet affordable handsets in the market and has recently very successfully launched Xiaomi Mi Mix which is a beast to all the bullies in the market.

Year-on –year, the company has been asked same question, that whether Xiaomi will launch its smartphones in US or not. And the answer is Xiaomi is yet not planning to do it, but will consider.

Xiaomi global vice president Hugo Barra has recently commented on this saying “we don’t have any specific-enough plans yet that we’re comfortable talking about yet,” Barra said. “Eventually we’ll make our way over here.”

It is also important to Note that according to Xiaomi, the smartphone ecosystem is not above par to compete US market that is why Hugo Barra clarified “We don’t want to go anywhere near the half-hearted efforts to launch a brand in the US just to say we’re in the US. “

However, in the near future, the company plans to enter US market and says “there’s a huge audience of tech enthusiasts here,” and also recognized that “brands in the US become global brands.”
