Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Starts Receiving MIUI 9.2 Update

The Xiaomi MIUI 9 Global ROM based on Android 7.0 Nougat was introduced in November, previous year. Recently, the company has confirmed that it plans to release the MIUI version for at least forty of its smartphones. The latest devices like Redmi Note 4, Mi Max 3 and Mi MIX 2 has received the update, but the older devices including Redmi Note 3, Redmi 3S and Redmi 4A did not get the update yet.

However, Xiaomi has now rolled out the MIUI 9.2 for Redmi Note 3 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. This update indicates the company has skipped MIUI 9 and leaped directly to the new version of its ROM. This new update is coming as ‘MIUI 9.2.4.0.MHOMIEK’, and it weighs 290MB in size.

The update comes along with the January security patch for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Conferring to MIUI Forum, the update is a stable release, which has been pushed to the selected set of users in order to receive feedback before the general release. However, the main release of MIUI 9.2 for all Redmi Note 3 users will likely to happen in the next 2-3 days
