The Idol 4S is going to be the last among the not so many windows powered handset in United States. Recently, the company, Alcatel, has announced that its Alcatel Idol 4S will soon launch in Europe during the second quarter 2017. Alcatel confirmed in a statement that France, Czech Republic and Slovakia will be among the first countries in Europe to receive it.
“… if you want Windows version, it will be good to wait we just solve the possibility of sales in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. e.g. US phone is already available in the Windows Store, but this version is not recommended because it does not offer European 3G and LTE (4G) bandwidth. We will be smarter during February. If it will be selling, it will be up during the second quarter.”
The Window 10 – powered Alcatel Idol 4S comes with 5.5-inch AMOLED display with full HD and 1080p resolution, also bringing VR Goggles with the shipment.
The handset gets its power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory which can be extended up to 256GB. Camera-wise, it has a 21MP rear unit with PDAF and dual-LED flash. It also records video with 4K resolution.
There is no word on price yet, but the windows-powered version of Alcatel Idol 4S will cost €385, which is almost the same amount as before.
