Windows Phone 8.1 was over and out a few months ago, and now a series of tweets by Joe Belfiore suggest that the Windows 10 Phone is also slowly but gradually declining and will meet the same fate as Windows Phone 8.1.
The vice president of Microsoft has also confirmed that the company will keep on supporting the mobile OS with the bug fixes; however, no hardware or new features will be introduced in the future.
Explaining the rationale behind this decision, Belfiore also stated that developers have never really supported this platform and Microsoft also could not be able to find any partners with whom work could proceed. Moreover, the users of Windows 10 Mobile have also been quite a few in number.
So, rather than investing more on the invention of a new Windows OS, the company will be looking for more ways in terms of improving or devising the links between PC and phone.
