According to a report, Deutsche Telekom is working on a plan for a merger between Sprint and T-Mobile US. It is not something that we have heard for the first time. The new report states that T-Mobile would be getting control of Sprint in order to keep T-Mobile’s existing competitive marketing strategy which has worked well for T-Mobile.

Will T-Mobile and Sprint Merge

If the merger does take place it will imply lesser competition for the US’ largest carriers. Its tough to say how much T-Mobile’s competitive strategies change in the times to come with Magenta in charge of a merged “SprinT-Mobile”.

Considering that is it the third time we have been hearing these rumors about T-Mobile and Sprint merging, it may take more time than expected or perhaps the third time may really work. Stay tuned until we hear more on this and keep your fingers crossed!
