Warid is going to launch 4G LTE service from October 15, 2014. Currently Warid Telecom is doing extensive testing of  4G LTE service through its employees.  Zong has already launched 4G service in Pakistan to claim Pakistan first 4G mobile phone operator and they have paid millions of dollars to PTA. I am unable to understand why PTA has allowed to Warid Telecom without any financial consideration.

We must remember Zong has paid US$ 210 million for 4G.  This is big question mark  in my mind, whether it is a political pressure, political corruption or simple irregularity or any privilege which I  don’t know.   Being a Pakistani we have the right to know the truth why Zong has paid the US$ 210 million to get 4G license and Warid is going to introduce 4G LTE (long term Evolution) in mid of October, 2014 without any financial consideration to PTA. Even Warid did not participate in the 3G and 4G bid process. Warid Telecom is fully owned by Abu Dhabi Group.  Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif may have been used to waive off the fee since he is quite close to them. PTA has earned US$ 1.12 billion from 4 Mobile Operators on account of 3G and 4G licenses.  It is really hurting me why Warid is being exempted.

Warid is also planning to launch 4G LTE enabled smart phone in easy installments to enable maximum users. Mostly warranty based phones are not 4g LTE enabled which are being imported by Nokia mobile phones , Samsung mobile phone, Huawei mobile phone and  QMobile phones.  Only non warranty phones which are brought by carriers have this feature.  These high end mobile phones are little bit cheaper as compare to warranty based phones. Warid is also signing agreements with various mobile phone manufacturers to introduce smart phones with  4G LTE features in low price.
