Microsoft Corporation has unleashed an app, i.e. Seeing AI, which uses the computer vision for describing the world for those people who are blind or visually impaired. The app will use artificial intelligence (AI) for identifying objects, people and scenes.

By downloading the app, individuals will simply point the camera of their phone towards the person and the app will automatically say who those people are and what they have been feeling.

Similarly, the screen can also be pointed towards the product and it will reveal to the users what the product is. All of this will be done through artificial intelligence, which will locally run on the user’s phone.

The app is currently available for free download on iOS in USA. There are different scenarios in which the app would work. Moreover, some scenarios will work on paid version of the app, such as recognizing currency notes.

This is the phenomenal achievement on part of Microsoft for visually impaired people to get in touch with the world around them in real-time environment.
