Sony as electronic maker did show a strong presence at CES 2017 but sadly, the company did not unveil any smartphone. On a positive note, the company is rumoring some handsets lately, with high end processor, which will be showcased in MWC 2017.
The model numbers and screen resolution are compatible to previous leaks, which make us believe that it is G3112 and G3121 with 5- or 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch displays that support full HD (1080p) and 4K resolution, respectively.
Recently, another similar set of information for both handsets appeared in China. There also released UAProf documents that testified both handsets will feature MediaTek MT6757 Helio P20 chipsets with an octa-core processors humming at 2.3GHz.
The UAProf document also verified info released earlier, Sony G3112 is likely to come with 5- or 5.2-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution.
The leaked info is promising, however, when Sony will launch its offering is a mystery. We are expecting, that this info will enlighten us on near MWC or earlier in February.
