Samsung, though struggling to keep World’s largest Vendor of smartphone’s position despite all criticism by Counterpoint and Canalys, is struggling hard in the Chinese market. Samsung was dethroned by Xiaomi last year and now it is pushed down to fifth position according to latest market research report by IDC. In Q4 2014, the company managed to capture 7.9% market share, which is a whopping 50% decline from the Q4 of previous year. Xiaomi with its year-on-year growth rate of 150% is ranked first with 13.7 % market share. Apple, Huawei and Lenovo had 12.3%, 11.5% and 9.5% market share respectively. Apple was ranked second while Huawei and Lenovo come third and fourth.
