Samsung has released its financial reports of first quarter 2015. The report shows improved sale from previous quarter but a marginal downward trend in Device Solution and Mobile division. Consumer electronics came out to be much disappointing with 28% drop in sales.
IT and Mobile showed better earnings due to low marketing expenses. However, Decreased availability and demand of tablets and feature phones have led to a modest decline in revenue. On the contrary, smartphone shipments have increased esp. for mid-to-entry level category. The word “stagnate” has been used for Q2 forecast for smartphone and tablet demand.
The semiconductor division is performing well. The Q2 is expecting better figures due to ever increasing demand for the Galaxy S6 flagship and SSD data centers.
