One of the much awaited smartphones in A series is now official. The Samsung Galaxy A8 has been finally launched and it is slimmest smartphone by Samsung to date. The handset is now listed at Korean’s manufacturer China’s website with a detailed specs and features sheet.

The handset is just 5.9mm thin and looks just like S6 from its design. The A8 packs 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display and still on light side weighing 151 grams. It runs on a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC, with one cluster of Cortex-A53 cores working at 1.0 GHz and another ticking at 1.5 GHz. Further the device packs 2GB RAM and 16 or 32GB internal storage with microSD card slot. The memory expansion slot is shared with the second SIM slot so you can’t get both dual-SIM andmicroSD at the same time.

It has a 16MP rear camera and also has a finger-print feature. A8 is powered by whopping 3,050 mAh battery and Samsung promises 304 hours of standby time. It is available in White, Gold and Black color options.
