Earlier Samsung Galaxy A8 has been quite in rumors and there were also set of live images popping out to show its presence. But this is just not the testament for an early launch, however, the recent visit to TENNA shows that real appearance is not far off.
The Chinese telecommunications certification has certified a device, bearing a model number SM-A8000, which we know by now is the upcoming Galaxy A8. And the TENNA listing also confirms its various specs and features.
Samsung Galaxy A8 will come with a 5.7-inch AMOLED display of FullHD resolution. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 where the cores are clocked slightly below Qualcomm’s specified maximum of 1.7GHz making it contain an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. Further it has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with microSD expandable up to 128 GB in capacity.
The listing shows an 8MP rear camera with 16 MP in parenthesis, however, we believe as A7 having 13 MP main shooter, downgrading is illogical and higher is the preferred. Further, it comes with 5 MP front facer.
The dimensions are 158 × 76.77 × 5.94 mm and it weighs 142g. We don’t yet have confirmation on the rumored 3,050mAh battery capacity. The LTE-capable smartphone runs on Android 5.1 upon launch.
