Announced in January with the name Oppo R1 C, Oppo R1x with sapphire-glass-back will now be released worldwide in April. The handset is a premium quality as compared to other line up Oppo has offered up till now. It is slimmest with 6.85mm thickness and weighs only 130 grams. Oppo seems to be earnestly working on the Design of the device as both Oppo N3 and Oppo R5 are gorgeously crafted and amazingly thin to give a premium look.

Specs-wise, Oppo R1x features a 5-inch “Pixel Eye” HD screen and runs on a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 SoC, with four Cortex-A53 CPU cores, clocked at 1.7GHz and another four working at 1.0 GHz. It further packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard memory, expandable via 128GBmicroSD slot. In Imaging department, that device comes with a 13MP shooter and has an LED flash plus a 5MP front facing snapper.

The R1x should launch in international markets mid- to late April this year and will come in two colors – sapphire blue and ice white. Pricing is not revealed yet but it will be around $400 or little above as it is what for it is sold in local market.
