Samsung, the tech giant, has just unveiled a new app that gives Samsung Galaxy users a lot more control over the sound of their devices. Called the SoundAssistant, it offers a variety of audio options that you can explore in addition to some special bells and whistles which just the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus owners can benefit from.

Some of the great features of SoundAssistantare volume adjustments for individual apps, a floating EQ, “150 steps of fine volume” control and personalized profiles and “scenarios.”

Scenarios provide a kind of scheduling manager for time-based profiles that can adjust the sound settings of your device automatically considering the time of day.

SoundAssistant’s other notable feature is to remap the hardware volume keys from adjusting ringtone volume, which is the default, to media volume control. With this feature you can enjoy added granular control.
