Report: Verizon’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ get Daydream VR support now

  MPC Team

Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are now getting a new update. Once you get it and install your phone will be on software version G950USQU1AQG4 if you have the S8, and G955USQU1AQG4 if you have the S8+. The update will make its way to all devices in the coming few days. The great thing about this new update is that it is bringing support for Google’s Daydream VR platform. So you will be able to use Daydream straightaway.

In addition, with the latest update you will be able to send animated GIFs while you are making a call. You must have Profile Sharing enabled in the Contacts app in order to make use of this feature.

Also, through this Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ Verizon update you can toggle a new navigation bar button that will hide the bar. This way you will be able to benefit from the entire height of your phone’s Infinity Display.
