Samsung recently launched its midrange Galaxy S8 Lite officially. The phone was previously seen in leaks and looks quite a lot like the Galaxy S8 in design. The latest device has mid-range specifications. Although this phone was initially being referred to as the Galaxy S8 Lite but Samsung has now decided to name it Galaxy S Light Luxury, at official launch.
Previous rumors that Samsung has plans to make a Galaxy S8 Lite version of the flagship have now come true. The lite version is similar in design to the flagship Galaxy S8 version released last year. The phone has a 5.8 inch FHD+ Infinity Display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.
Also included in this version is the physical Bixby button which was introduced with the Galaxy S8. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor on the rear of the phone, alongside the camera. However, the heart rate sensor is missing. For now, the company has decided to keep this feature exclusively for their flagship devices only.
The Galaxy S Light Luxury will come with 16 MP rear and 8 MP front camera powered by a 3,000mAh battery. It will have Android 8.0 Oreo installed out of the box. It will be available in two color variants for now, including Black and Burgundy.
