In this day and age, the right to information has no parallels. Everyone has a freedom to express his views about any issue that is of personal as well as public importance. I have personally been engaged with a website dedicated to providing insights about mobile phone technology to its users. It’s called Mobile Phone Collection. I have been working as MPC website manager for past two years. The main purposed of launching this website was to engage readers with useful and interesting content about the mobile phones. Unlike other typical websites operating in Pakistan, I wanted to do something different and unique. There was not a single website in Pakistan before MPC, which was providing quality news and reviews about latest and upcoming mobile phones on daily basis. Mobile Phone Collection was the first-ever platform in Pakistan, which was taken seriously by its users, and it was not just for its provision of updated price and availability of mobile phones, but also due to the latest news, reviews, overviews, and many other cool features that made it an interesting website specifically designed for particular audience.

However, designing, launching and running this website proved to be a roller-coaster ride for us. We did make a lot of experiments and tried many new things. Failures led us to try one thing after another, but we did not get much appreciation in the beginning though. At one time, I had personally decided to shut this project down, as I was not hopeful about its future prospects. But, then again, I thought to myself one day that doing so would only go against my own philosophy of not bowing down to anything but keep believing in self and trying to break through the shackles and succeed in my pursuits. So, that was that. I buckled myself up, established a team of fresh minds, and the expedition of making Mobile Phone Collection the no. 1 mobile phones website in Pakistan officially began. That was the day when I decided to leave the past behind and focus on the future.

I am, by nature, a very individualistic person. Perfection comes with time and experience. Skill and creativity have got no bounds, and that it what I learnt from my extensive experience in website management. MPC was my brainchild, and my motivation to bring it on top of mobile phone websites in Pakistan came from my soulful passion for mobile phones. Building it through a team of 7 able individuals, who are professionals in their respective fields, I, as Project Manager, have allocated tasks to my teammates and asked them to execute their tasks according to their own aspirations and choices. So, we have developed a culture of #JoMeiChahun in our MPC team so that the individuals are able to follow their own aspirations, build their experiences according to their will, and be themselves by what they actually want to be, and just shine bright.

Putting this #JoMeiChahun philosophy at the forefront of our working environment has basically produced a great culture of cooperation and coordination in fact. By respecting diversity in the workplace, every individual in MPC team has been empowered to do what he can based on his own will and set himself apart from the rest and therefore become the best version of himself. #JoMeiChahun has therefore instilled a sense of empowerment and self-belief among MPC team members, which has rather provided everyone a better place to utilize the opportunity in their own right and build something meaningful.

I personally believe that individuality is a gift of God. Though everyone is created equal, but everyone has this right to follow his aspirations and dreams and become what he actually wants to be. An individual’s dreams can only come true when he actually does not give up on his dreams. Therefore, #JoMeiChahun philosophy has simply etched into our work ethics. This has in fact fueled an environment of mutual respect and admiration, where each person encourages others to embrace their individuality and be free to take on the tasks he wants to do. Since the main goal of MPC is to provide its readers the fresh and authentic news and information about Mobile Phone Collection, hence I personally ensure that not only my team, but my readers are also given free choice of reading the content according to their own will and choice. This was the reason that I designed the website in a manner that everyone gets a fair share of information that he can absorb. By doing so, we did actually empower our visitors by giving them choices in content categories. If someone wants to get to know about a product through text, we publish news, and if someone simply wants to go for the mobile specifications, we have built a separate product page for each mobile through which one can read the main specifications and features.

Hence, we have developed MPC in a customized manner, so that not only our team but also readers are able to pursue #JoMeiChahun philosophy and go through the content in an independent manner. The navigation of the website is built in such a manner that everyone is able to browse the products according to their own will and capacity, and that is what I believe makes Mobile Phone Collection a different as well as unique website for Pakistani audience.

That being said, I would conclude my story by saying that every individual has complete right to express his will and aspirations. This has been an integral part of working culture of MPC team, and it has therefore brought positive results for us too!
