Today is the big day, the much awaited iOS 9 is on a rollout finally. The new software is now heading towards its supported devices. You can get iOS 9 update if you keep an iPhone 4S or iPad 2 or newer, any version of the iPad mini, or an iPod touch.
In case you do not receive a notification of update, you can manually go to the Settings > General > Software Update. The download size is 1.3GB and it is likely to need a capacity of 16GB to fit in.
This might not be the evolution of previous iOS but definitely offers hordes of new features. It has a new multitasking app switcher, a more efficient Siri, multitasking with split screen for newest big iPads. Plus it comes with many built-in apps and new Font entirely. You can now easily store credit cards and reward cards via Wallet app in the same place to check in Apple pay. The newer version of Notes app will come with the update, too.
WatchOS 2 will also be released side by side but there is no such news till now as according to a company spokesperson, “a bug in development of watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected”. So Watch OS 2 is still coming. We hope that bug gets fixed soon and the OS rollout as early as possible for Apple Watch owners everywhere.
