Huawei to discontinue Ascend Brand for future handsets.

It’s been a long time since Huawei is using Ascend brand for its consumer mobile products which has resulted in 65 devices in our database. It now appears that Huawei is planning to discontinue Ascend name with its future handsets. Huawei might opt for some reasonable naming convention, especially its popular number letter-number combinations. So instead of Ascend P7, it will be named as Huawei P8.The next generation smartphone will reportedly pack a 5.2-inch screen in a sleek metal body. It is powered by Huawei’s in-house Kirin 930 chipset with an octa-core CPU. The Huawei P8 is expected to be introduced at the MWC in Barcelona and with the date nearing; more detailed information will come into light.
