Today we would be explaining you the rooting method for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 by using CF auto root through Odin on a PC. We would be using PC because it is permanent method for rooting.

Process:
- Back-Up
The first step in all the rooting system is same. If you want to save your data. You should back up your data
You can either
- Copy the data from you mobile to your SD card and remove it.
- Transfer data to your PC.
- Samsung backups can also be done through using Samsung Kies.
- Download USB drivers for ROOTING your Samsung Galaxy Note 4
First download the USB drivers and install them on your computer. You can get connected to your smartphone with PC
- Download Samsung USB Drivers from here (http://www.devfiles.co/download/AbRa7wHc/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe)
- Download Samsung KIES (http://www.samsung.com/in/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/) (The package bundles drivers)
- Enable USB debugging mode on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4
Too enable USB debugging on your smartphone, follow these steps.
- Go to Settings on your smartphone
- Scroll down and find ‘Developer Options’ and tap over there
- Enable USB debugging and OEM Unlocking
The developer options are not visible in the settings menu. You can make it visible by the following
- Go to Settings on your smartphone
- Scroll down till you see “About Device” or “About Phone” and tap there
- Tap on Build Number for 5-7 times to make the Developer Options visible
- Now follow the standard steps to enable USB debugging and OEM Unlocking
- Download the root package for your Galaxy Note 4
You should download the root package. Root packages are different for every variant of Samsung Galaxy Note 4. To check which model you have
- Go to Settings on your smartphone
- Scroll down till you see “About Device” or “About Phone” and tap there
- Note down the model number
Now using the links given below download the root package for your model.

Next you would need to download Odin. It is a software used using to flash your smartphone.
- Download the Odin3 (http://www.devfiles.co/download/CAHmXM6c/Odin_v3.09.zip)
- Save the file on your PC and extract it.
- Open your smartphone in Fastboot mode
Now follow the steps below
- Disconnect your smartphone from PC.
- Switch off the smartphone.
- Press Volume Up key to confirm.
Once your device boots into the Fastboot mode. You can connect it to your computer using the original USB data cable.
- Process on your PC
When you connect the smartphone to your system open the folder where you have downloaded Odin
- Find the Odin3.exe file and open it. If you have USB drivers of your device in your system, you will see ‘Added’ in the Odin dialogue box.
- Click on ‘AP’/’PDA‘ button and select the extracted file by going to the folder where you have extracted the CF Auto-Root package (it should be a CF-Auto-Root-….tar.md5).
- Check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options, if not already checked.
- Click the ‘Start’ button.
When you click on the start button the flashing will start and your device will automatically boot into the rooted mode. Download the root checker from the play store and check for root. You can look for SuperSU application and it will confirm that your root performed well
