Previously we have mentioned PTA raiding the Mobile phone stores with non-warranty phones. Now the Traders Welfare League of Hafeez Centre blames that the store owners are being harassed and the businesses are at stake with this initiative of PTA. The non-warranty phones are also the ones smuggled through the borders of the country. PTA banned the selling of non-warranty phones as they disrupt the market competition in terms of price and post-purchase services.
The Mobile Association clearly states that this act of PTA will benefit only a few giant mobile phone organizations while earning of a millions will be affected. The livelihood of these people depends on non-warranty mobiles (esp. smuggled phones), used mobiles (sometimes stolen), repairing lab along with software unlocking. Now the gravity of the situation is getting severer as the larger interest of the people lies in allowing selling non-warranty phones against the MNCs. Further the association states it is united and will negotiate with PTA customer Authority and Ministry of Finance for legal solution or a mid-way.
Again, the Traders Welfare League of Hafeez Centre clearly stated that it will not allow PTA and government institutions to harass their Traders. A petition stating the motives of the League has been revolved among the traders and everyone has been asked to contact Malik Kaleem Ahmad, President Hafeez Centre Welfare League for conciliation on the matter.
