The biggest issue with Android is that mobile manufacturers do not roll out updates for operating systems. Google tried that it should convince mobile manufacturers to start developing updates but they are not on the same page with software giant. Google has contracted with every hardware manufacturer that after 18 months of the release of handset, they should roll out an update but does not track that upon failure what could be the consequences.
Google has also agreed upon with hardware manufacturers that they should install latest version of Android in their handsets, however, upon failure there is no explanation.
Bloomberg has published a report that says that Google has found the solution of this problem. Now it will rank the mobile manufacturers according to updates.
This ranking will be after the launch of handset and releasing OS update likewise. Hopefully, with this ranking mobile manufacturers will release updates to get better ranks in the order.
Google, however, did not mention whether it will reveal or make public the standards of ranking.
