The Next Nexus is not in discussion but the rumors on how the Google will make it more of company manufactured device are on the go. The previous two Nexus are designed by LG and Huawei. LG introduced a more modest version while Huawei go for the premium handset. In the beginning rumors were that Google will contract with Huawei again for upcoming Nexus devices. However, they soon died as the dust settled towards Google agenda of selling more company designed devices.

This means Google is looking to work both on the hardware as well as software side as a manufacturer. Google thus will leave its contract with other manufacturers exerting end-to-end control. This will effectively make Google manufacturer’s contractor and not just the partner in the plan.

There are also rumors whirling that Google is eyeing on HTC for its next Google Nexus. The contract has been in process and it will be for two three years, as per info LG is not the part of any contract this time. However, as far as Huawei is concerned there are still no refutation by Google whether it will be a part of Next Nexus project or not.

There are further details to talk about. Evan Blass has leaked that two devices are in works which are internally dubbed S1 and M1, which according to Android Police refers to Marlin and Sailfish. Google has the tradition of releasing it Nexus in third quarter in September. Till then al lot will appear in the news to clear the dust.
